Looking For Somatic Therapy?

I’ve had a couple of clients in the past month that have found me in their search for somatic therapies so I thought I would take a moment to answer the question I got from both of them… Is your work considered a somatic therapy technique?

Somatic therapy refers to a general technique that works with the body to address the brain, specifically with psychological and emotional issues, rather than the brain to affect the body (such as a counselor/psychologist would do). So the resounding answer is a big YES, my work would fall under the very broad umbrella of somatic therapies.
It is very important to point out that my training (MNRI) is a much more specialized approach than if you were to search for just somatic therapies. The more specific you can be with the work, the clearer you can be for the body/brain and therefore the quicker you should see the exact results that you are looking for.
So if you hear someone in your life looking for or asking about somatic therapies, please gently guide them my way and we can get them the results they are looking for!
